DRYAD Releases its Official Project Video: Planting the Seeds for a Climate-Resilient Mediterranean Future

DRYAD, a Horizon Europe project running from 2024 to 2028, has released its official project video, presenting its mission, objectives, and the work being carried out to strengthen the climate resilience of Mediterranean agro-silvo-pastoral ecosystems.

Agro-silvo-pastoral ecosystems, a historic and cultural heritage of the Mediterranean region, are increasingly threatened by rising temperatures and extreme climatic events. Protecting these landscapes is not only an environmental priority but also a social and economic one. That’s where DRYAD comes in.

DRYAD brings together 27 partners from six European countries to implement nature-based solutions focused on water, soil, and biodiversity in five demonstration regions, with the most promising solutions being replicated in three additional regions.

The project combines science, real-time data, modelling, and traditional knowledge to support sustainable land management, strengthen local livelihoods, and promote a balanced relationship between people and nature.
