On 20 November 2025, DRYAD took part in the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP30, held in Belém, Brazil, from 6 to 21 November. This international event aimed to accelerate climate action, strengthen global commitments, and advance pathways to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement. COP30 brought together governments, scientists, civil-society actors, and innovators to address the escalating climate emergency.
Within this framework, Yara Shenan, Senior Researcher at ICATALIST and leader of DRYAD’s co-creation and stakeholder-engagement strategy, represented the project at the panel discussion “Regenerative Agri-Food Systems as Climate Solutions: Unlocking Regenerative Pathways for Global Goals” where she contributed insights from DRYAD’s work on regenerative approaches and nature-based solutions across Europe and the Mediterranean.
The session, moderated by María Alejandra Riaño from The Nature Conservancy, brought together perspectives from Tisa da Costa of Danone Brazil, Ignacio Lorenzo of CAF, and Gonzalo Muñoz of Ambition Loop. The speakers examined how regenerative food systems can support global climate objectives, stressing the need for systemic transformation and the role of policy and finance in enabling large-scale change.
DRYAD’s presence in this international forum reinforces the project’s commitment to advancing sustainable climate solutions. Check out the full pannel discussion here.
