NBS EDUWORLD

The overall objective of NBS EduWORLD is to nurture an NBS literate society, supporting a just transition to a sustainable future. For this, NBS EduWORLD will create an NBS community that facilitates synergies between NBS professionals and education providers and ensures free and easy access to NBS knowledge and resources for all.

ARSINOE

The ARSINOE project will shape the pathways to resilience by bringing together SIA (Systems Innovation Approach) and CIW (Climate Innovation Window) with the purpose to build an ecosystem for climate change adaptation solutions.

AGORA

AGORA will support the overall objectives of the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change by leveraging and step forwarding best practices, innovative approaches, policy instruments and governance mechanisms to meaningfully and effectively engage communities and regions in climate actions, accelerating and upscaling adaptation process for building a climate resilient Europe.

CLIMAAX

CLIMAte risk and vulnerability Assessment framework and toolboX (CLIMAAX) is a 4-year Horizon Europe project that will provide financial, analytical, and practical support to improve regional climate and emergency risk management plans.

CLIMAS

The CLIMAS project aims to support the transformation towards climate resilience by providing an innovative problem-oriented climate adaptation Toolbox, co-designed with stakeholders using a value-based approach, design thinking methods, and citizen science mechanisms. Our research will be carried out with a gender and diversity-sensitive approach, ensuring inclusivity and equity.

GREENINCITIES

GreenInCities aims to build a new co-creative, integrated, and collaborative approach for planning urban climate regeneration in deprived and dysfunctional areas through the development and testing of innovative co-analysis, co-designing, and co-monitoring tools and methodologies for people, technicians, and decision-makers.

ICARIA

According to the United Nations, climate hazard-related disasters have risen significantly, with over 7,000 incidents between 2000 and 2019. These events impacted 4 billion people and caused nearly $3 trillion in losses. This surge is primarily due to extreme weather events. If global temperatures continue to rise and net-zero targets aren’t met by 2050, 10% of the world’s economic value may be lost.

IMPETUS

Multidisciplinary teams will work with policy-makers, businesses and communities at local and regional levels and ensure that knowledge is created and shared together. Much of this activity will centre around ‘Resilience Knowledge Boosters’ (RKBs) based at each of the project’s seven demonstration and testing sites.

REGIONS 4CLIMATE

The Regions4Climate project aims to collaboratively develop and demonstrate a socially-just transition to climate resilience. Based on cross-sectoral roadmaps developed together with regional stakeholders, the project will create and implement innovations combining sociocultural, technological, digital, business, governance, and environmental solutions to reduce the vulnerability of European regions to the impacts of climate change.

REGILIENCE

REGILIENCE is a European project that aims at sharing the most promising cross-sectoral adaptation solutions, supporting cities and regions across Europe to become more resilient to climate change.

RESIST

RESIST is a five-year EU-funded project that has emerged from the need to make regions more resilient to climate change. The effects of environmental changes are a reality affecting our societies in many ways. We need to adapt to the current and predicted effects of climate change by taking action.

RISKADAPT

RISKADAPT will provide, in close cooperation with the end-users/other stakeholders, a novel, integrated, modular, interoperable, public and free, customizable user-friendly platform (PRISKADAPT), to support systemic, risk-informed decisions regarding adaptation to Climate Change induced compound events at the asset level, focusing on the structural system.

TRANSFORMAR

Transformational adaptation (TA) is essential to reduce climate-related impacts on people, the economy and the planet. The EU-funded TransformAr project will create products and services to introduce large-scale and disruptive adaptive TA processes in vulnerable regions and communities across Europe.

VALORADA

The VALORADA project is in line with the EU’s Adaptation Mission aiming at supporting the transformation of 150 European regions to become sustainable and climate-resilient by 2030.

PIISA

The PIISA project aims to develop and deploy a range of insurance innovations that incite households and firms to adapt proactively and sufficiently for their own sake and their neighborhood’s sake. PIISA also incites public authorities to set up adaptation and create adaptation promoting conditions. PIISA co-develops climate resilient insurance portfolios and develops solutions for sharing losses and climate risk data.

CLIMEMPOWER

ClimEmpower will empower five south-European regions with high Climate Change (CC) risk and exceptionally low adaptive capacity to enhance their CC-resilience, establish the regional Communities of Practice (CoP) and co-create the resilient development strategies adapted to the regional needs and potentials.

CLIMATEFIT

With this in mind, the EU-funded CLIMATEFIT project aims to empower public authorities and financing and investment entities to tap into diverse public and private funding sources. Covering 20 territories in Southern, Eastern, and Northwestern Europe, the project will identify funding barriers and enablers.

SOTERIA

MOUNT RESILIENCE

OCEANIDS

OCEANIDS stands for creating tools and applications driven by users. These tools focus on Climate-Informed Maritime Spatial Planning and integrated seascape management, all aiming to contribute to a resilient and inclusive Blue Economy.

SPONGE BOOST

The project is part of the EU mission “Adaptation to Climate Change” focusing on supporting EU regions, cities and local authorities in their efforts to build resilience against the impacts of climate change.
